KIDS IN CHURCH

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3-year-old Reese:
"Our Father, Who does art in heaven,
Harold is His name.
Amen."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A little boy was overheard praying:

"Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it.

I'm having a real good time like I am."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the christening of his baby brother in church,
Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car.
His father asked him three times what was wrong.
Finally, the boy replied,
"That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home,
and I wanted to stay with you guys."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One particular four-year-old prayed,

"And forgive us our trash baskets

as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they
were on the way to church service,
"And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"
One bright little girl replied,
"Because people are sleeping."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3.

The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.

Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.

"If Jesus were sitting here, He would say,

'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.'

Kevin turned to his younger brother and said,

"Ryan, you be Jesus!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A father was at the beach with his children
when the four-year-old son ran up to him,
grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore
where a seagull lay dead in the sand.
"Daddy, what happened to him?" the son asked.
"He died and went to Heaven," the Dad replied.
The boy thought a moment and then said,
"Did God throw him back down?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A wife invited some people to dinner.

At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said,

"Would you like to say the blessing?"

"I wouldn't know what to say," the girl replied.

"Just say what you hear Mommy say," the wife answered.

The daughter bowed her head and said,

"Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?"

Assessment time sucks!

I really do think that assessment time suck. You don't reallly know if you have all the right stuff and is up to stratch with everything and then you get stressed. It's really not fair but I guess I'll get over it.

I have been trying so hard this term to make my blog look asethicly pleasing, and to tell you the truth, I have struggled this it. I have however, deleted all the pictures for the template and inserted my own background with bubbles. I also tried to play with the colours and founts as much as I could without it looking weird. So in conjunction with that I have tried to post interesting posts on my blog. I think the most interesting post in my blog is: 'Why did the chicken cross the road?'. In this post there are answers from all kinds of famous people including Oprah, John Lennon, George. W. Bush etc. It is hilarious. I have also tried to include interesting emails i have recived. For example: Can you beleive this for a computer problem. This situation does not happen everyday. Imagine if you had a snake in your PC? I would be screaming.

With my flickr Account I had so much fun with this one. Uploading pictures with a total of 110 pictures. I have aranged my flickr page so that my sets are on the first page and the most recent uploaded photos are in the large format. I mostly put pictures of my life on there but there are some art ones in which I am interested in. I really like Dead man these photos are from an paperart exibition, concentrating in postive and negitive space, And using the paper as the source of that. I really think I will kepp using this website just as a fun thing to do and hopefully share this with my friends and they can sign up for it too.

My del.icio.us account is really not very exciting at all. I mostly saved bookmarks that I was personally interested in and sites that i thought would help me in my life. Well some of them could be a bit of a worry. I saved though all the the bookmarks that we have used in class, and others that may interest others. I really like this site because you can organise it more efficently than just the scroll down tag up the top of the page (where file, edit. help is!!) well that's what I think anyways.

Bunnies Do Scream

One of My contacts up loaded an image that is postmodern. It takes after Edvard Munch "scream" which really is a confronting and beautuiful painting at the same time. Her name as I know it is lady.adriel who does line drawings on all sorts of things. But this one is only a fave.

Hay we all know one. We might all come out alive if not ending up like this at the end of it. You know, my two friends said this "man if we all end up teaching in our profession, good luck to all the kids that have us as teachers." i think maybe somtimes that you just have to act this way just to get by!.

Why did the Chicken cross the road?

JOHN LENNON:
Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in
peace.
____________________
DR. PHIL:
The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he
must first deal with the problem on "THIS" side of the road before
it goes after the problem on the "OTHER SIDE" of the road. What we
need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking
on his "CURRENT" problems before adding "NEW" problems.
____________________________________________________
OPRAH:
Well I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why
he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken
learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm
going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across
the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.
____________________________________________________
GEORGE W BUSH:
We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want
to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The
chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground
here.
___________________________________________________
ANDERSON COOPER - CNN:
We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet
been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.
____________________________________________________
GRANDPA:
In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody
told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.
____________________________________________________
JOHN KERRY:
Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against
it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the
chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.
____________________________________________________
MARTHA STEWART:
No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had
a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the
price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider
information.
____________________________________________________
DR SEUSS:
Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes,
the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.
____________________________________________________
ERNEST HEMINGWAY:
To die in the rain. Alone.
____________________________________________________
JERRY FALWELL:
Because the chicken was gay! Can't you people see the plain side?
That's why they call it the "other side." Yes, my friends, that
chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay
too. I say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this
abomination that the liberal media whitewashes with seemingly
harmless phrases like "the other side." That chicken should not be
crossing the road. It's as plain and as simple as that.
____________________________________________________
BARBARA WALTERS:
Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to
the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how
it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish
its life long dream of crossing the road.
_____________________________________________________
ARISTOTLE:
It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.
____________________________________________________
BILL GATES:
I have just released eChicken2007, which will not only cross roads,
but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your
check book. Internet Explorer is a integral part of eChicken. This
new platform is much more stable and will never cra...#@&&^( C ....
............. reboot.
____________________________________________________
ALBERT EINSTEIN:
Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath
the chicken?
____________________________________________________
BILL CLINTON:
I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What is your definition
of chicken?
____________________________________________________
AL GORE:
I invented the chicken!
____________________________________________________
DICK CHENEY:
Where's my gun?
_____________________________________________
AL SHARPTON:
Why are all the chickens white? We need some black chickens.

WOW! Can you believe this for a computer problem!!!!

SUPPORT: " Hello, technical support how can I help you?"

LADY: Last night my computer started making a lot of hissing noises at me so I shut it down. This morning when I turned it on the computer started hissing and cracking, then started smoking and a bad smell, then nothing.

SUPPORT: (After verifying the woman had a rental agreement with them) : " I will have a technician come over this morning, just leave the computer just like it is so they can find the problem and fix it or exchange it with another computer. Confirm your address and phone number details with me now, and the technician will be there just as soon as he can.

When the technician got there, the lady showed the technician where the computer was and again she described exactly what had happened to it - hissing, cracking, smoking, bad smell - then stopped.

This is what the technician found wrong. You won't believe your eyes!!!

And you thought you had computer problems...

HUGS!!

There's no such thing as
a bad hug, only good ones
and great ones
They are nonfattening and
they don't cause cancer or cavities..
all natural with no preservatives,
artificial ingredients or pesticide residue...
cholesterol-free, naturally sweet, 100% wholesome
and they are a completely renewable resource...
Easy to care for, they don't require
batteries, tune-ups, or x-rays...
non-taxable, fully returnable and energy efficient...
safe in all kinds of weather...
In fact, especially good for cold and rainy days
and exceptionally effective in treating problems
like bad dreams or Monday blues.
Never wait until tomorrow to hug
someone you could hug today,
because when you give one,
you get one right back your way !

Counting 1,2,3

I put a counter on my page, from the site called sitemeter. I didn't know what site to go with, so what was reccomended I went with. This is a good thing as so far as you know how many people are coming and visiting your site, how they are getting to your site and where they are going from your site. Well it's only me at the momment, visiting and adding posts to my blog. But other than that, I think it will be interesting in the long run. Hopefully I can put my name out there and get noticed so i can get visitors and lots.

But for my flickr site, the people that I am connected with upload photos all the time, and so I get alot of visitors to my flicker site through them. I also try and send out a working link to my friends to have a look at what happened last weekend.

My del.icio.us site is far from contact. it's not really touched other than my work flow tool. I have not spent that much time in this site as i would like to. but if you would like to visit my del.icio.us siteyou are most welcome.

this post will be updated!

Technorati

Technorati is a site which keeps track of all the updates in your site and other sites that you have saved as your favorite. This serves as a great tool so you can see the latest articles from all your friends aswel as other sites you are interested in. And not only that, tecnorati also has a ranking system which compares you to other sites with how many links you have with other users, the more links you have with other users the further up the ranking you go. You also have Authority. Depending on what your ranking is, is depending on the amount of authority you are going to have. The more authority you have, the more likely you will be higher in the ranking list. Technorati uses this method in search engines so it is easier for members and non members to search and locate information. This is different to Google as goggle only searches the sites relating to the words found in the site, such as titles and headings, not necessarily

My ranking is not good: 3,286,017 and I have no Authority. Damn it!!.

Well I don't know whether I explained that very good but It was interesting anyways. If you want to visit these caves, I went to the Yarrangobilly Caves.

Aesthetics! Aesthetics!

Aesthics is something that everyone needs to understand in order for people to be interested in your stuff. The definifion of the word aesthics is:

"the branch of philosophy dealing with such notions as the beautiful, the ugly, the sublime, the comic, etc., as applicable to the fine arts, with a view to establishing the meaning and validity of critical judgments concerning works of art, and the principles underlying or justifying such judgments."
(from: "http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=aesthetics" accessed on the 17th of May 2007)

In a nut shell, people are looking for the look of the presentation, and the quality of the presentation.

So I found one that really was aesthetically pleasing and easy to use, It is Aardman which features the well known Wallace and Gromit series (as you can see cute Shaun the sheep) and the famous animated family movie= Chicken run. In this site the colours go well and even the links marry well within the composition. The colors don't clash and the effort looks like it's there. It's not over whelming with pictures and text, but contained within a shape that focuses your eye to the important links and parts on the site. Because it is a animation buisness it has little cute birds that pretend to fly. i really like it and it's easy to use.

I am yet to find a site I really don't like.

What the heck is XML?

XML is described as Extendable markup language, and is useful for the data exposed and organized on the Internet. And RSS is a navigation tool in which you can interconnect your web pages, such as your email account and your del.icio.us account, and get regular updates on your uploads. This abbreveation can mean Rich Site Summary or Really simple syndication. There were two RSS tools I could use, One was Google Reader and the other Bloglines. I personally choose Google reader, because it was already with my gmail account, and I wanted to use this email account more often. It was also helpful as it gave you a tour before you signed up. Very helpful.

Assessments suck!

My assessment Sucks!
For My assessment I really didn't know what to expect and what I got was much more than what I could imagine. I really didn't know what I was doing (hence the "dontgetit" part in my address) but thought I would give it a go anyways. Trying to follow the guide lines of the assessment and trying to create the "interestingness" affect on my accounts in Blog spot, delicious and flickr, I tried hard to include my life into this assessment since life itself is interesting.

First My "flickr". This is where i have uploaded images that would interest other people, but also had interested me recently and updating my life as I go. I have made the layout easily accessible to my sets and tagged each photo so it's related to the event that happened. I have titled each photo, and tried to comment on these, where possible. The tags in which i have created includes Anniversary, Girls Brigade, fun, easter camp, wedding and dutch. These tags are moments in my life which have made an impact not only in my social life but also in my outlook on life. Unfortunately, I have not been able to join any groups in this web site, nor had a chance to connect with any contacts. This I would love to have done, and would love to do this, this term. I have not been educated in this area nor interested in the internet community until now. I have however made sure that if someone did stumble across my flickr account that my profile was uploaded and ready for people to read.

My Delicious account is other site that I thought was really useless to me until I thought that this is a good page set up as my home page. It is then you have all your bookmarks there ready for you when you want to surf the web. Again this is new to me, and so I have not subscribed to any networks or saved tags or bookmarks for anyone. I simply was trying to get the hang of this bookmark thing and use it to the best of my ability. I want to use this site more in my work flow as my tool, as i get more proficient.

My Blogspot describes me. Pink and feminine. Well that could be debatable. My blogspot describes the events of my life as it happens. I tried to put up posts that were unique and that not everyone would experience. How often do you get to dress up in a dutch costume and wear clogs, or Play in mud that you can get an instant hair dye and tan? The layout was influenced off the multimedia metablog site. It was easy to use and everything was right there with out having to search for it. This was very new to me, so not being on the interactive side I lacked socializing in the internet community. I have tried to change the layout and try different colours, and I seemed to like this one best.

Flash or Trash!

Water sports! 076

Welcome to the first posting on K-annie's blog. We are going to discuss to day, what's good to digest in your stomach. I have heard so many comments about different food being digested, because of different reasons. OK, Uni life is not all that it makes out to be, so does it become flash or trash when you are thinking about food that is cheap, easy, and fast. Does getting catered for really the best for you?
